First the good news. OCP pays a fixed royalty on each book sold that is typically three times that offered by the “big boys”. We also sell at a realistic price, intended to maximise sales, not margin.
Most large publishers sign up many books, relying on a tiny few that sell in large numbers for their profit. They care little about your book unless you become (or already are) a celebrity.
OCP was setup by people who believe that 1) the book belongs to the author, 2) author and publisher should be equal partners, and 3) every book taken on should be given every chance.
